The Bristol Hi-Fi Show (formerly Sound & Vision) will be filling the Marriott hotel for three days from Friday February 22nd. This year will see the launch of the first turntable from Kiwi Wand arm maker DBL (above) and a new CD player from Exposure. New speakers include ELAC’s active Navis and models from RBH Sound, Ophidian, Wilson Benesch, Totem, and Monitor Audio.

New electronics include Rogers Revival valve amps, Mark Levinson 5000 series integrated amps, Yamaha’s Musicast Vinyl and a pre/power combo from Astin Trew. Headphonists might be interested in the Novafidelity CHA500H headphone amp and DAC with VU meters and style seekers will want to check out the curvy Technics Ottava smart speaker. PMC plans to dem a Dolby Atmos system based around the new Bryston SP4 processor with twenty5 series speakers all round and Wafers above, it should be immersive if not quite as extreme as Capitol Studios (below0.

There are 187 brands exhibiting at the event including Innuos, iFi, Rega, Naim, Auralic, Ayre, Melco, Eclipse and both Chords, not forgetting newcomer Monkey Banana in the Dynamic Distribution room (me neither). A full list exhibitors can be found here.
